Greetings from CEO of YLMF，Mr.Lailinfeng Dear users, First of all, I’d like to express my New Year’s greetings to you. Since the publication of YlmF OS (YlmF Operating System), we have received extensive attentions from users, especially netizens, from all circles of the society. Various suggestions were proposed, and a great deal of news and comments were made. The relevant remarks on the Internet indicated that most of the netizens held an admiring and supportive attitude towards our endeavor in R&D of Linux open source operating system, and some Linux experts even raised pertinent improvement suggestions. Of course, there were also some negative opinions. Anyway, we’d like to thank you for your attention to us and YlmF OS. It was your enthusiastic attention that gave us impetus to continue our trip in Linux open source operating system. Your participation became the greatest reason for the existence and development of YlmF OS. It has always been a regret of Chinese people that our national software and system industry is inferior to that of foreign countries. The publication of YlmF OS aims at providing a totally free and applicable operating system for users. We hope to dedicate ourselves to the R&D progress of national self-developed software industry. We expect that it can attract your attention to the current status of national software industry. We encourage more and more talents to the R&D of Linux system so that China’s IT industry can step out its own way and get rid of being led by the nose of the monopolizer. We are always making great efforts, and willing to accept warm-hearted criticisms and suggestions. I hope everyone can take the matter as it stands during discussion. Here, I’d like to share a short story with you. Once, on a celebration party for Columbus discovery of New Continent, some celebrities were in envy of Columbus’s success and they decided to embarrass him. They asked Columbus, “is there anything worth showing off? You have only discovered a bizarre continent! How easy it is that everyone can achieve the task.” Columbus did not reply. Instead, he raised an egg and asked, “Dear gentlemen, who can successfully set the egg upright?” All of these celebrities tried and failed, and some people even gave up without attempt because they thought it was impossible. However, Columbus knocked one end of the egg, and easily erected the egg on the table. Then he turned to the stunned guys, “it is a simple task, but you failed and I succeeded.” What I’d like to mention is “The principle of success is very simple, but simple is quite different from easy”. It is Columbus “simple” discovery that the Americas appeared in front of us and a completely new sea route was opened. Similarly, I hope everyone can find your “new continent” by your own means.
