Dear friends,
Can you please help me to connect my internet (LAN setting) in my new ubuntu
9.10?

I have got Sony Vaio notebook with all the latest features. Eventhough, I
have got genuine windows vista home premium edition, I got to install
Ubuntu.

I can easily connect to the wireless or wi-fi internet. But, the problem is
with the LAN setting.

I dont' know much about the ubuntu, so, I have joined this group so that I
can learn from you guys.

I have got IP ADDRESS, SUBNET MASK, DNS SERVER ADDRESS AND the server
address (which is written as: http://proxy-...................... and so on.

so, with all these information, how can I set up the LAN setting in Ubuntu.
I can use all these information in my windows to connect to LAN, and I can
easily do that.

So, depending on all these information, how can I connect to LAN setting in
UBUNTU 9.1.

I mean where should I input all these settings in wired connection panels?

And, what other informations are required to set LAN connection.

PLEASE HELP ME TO YOUR EARLIEST.

Regards,
Rajesh
