Dear FOSSians,

Thanks for the wake up call and those who are little bit getting lazy
getting up early morning, please ignore our noises. Pravin jee this
is defiantly a new dawn of the new morning. In past few years, we have
seen few new mornings, but every morning was different and beautiful.
The darkness approaches us with the increasing darkness in our cities,
which was visible this time also. I can understand, the virtual
darkness in the broad daylight is also getting reflected in our
community members emails (in volume an in tone as well). But I am sure
that no one would like to unsubscribe just because there are some
early rising team members gossiping with a cup of tea ;). Rather you
may want to use filter those interesting mingling for reading in your
leisure time.

Regarding the development over the recent past, we had not been able
to put up visible concrete efforts in Kathmandu, but things are
getting high up appreciation in other cities. Surely, the awareness
raising, advocacy and lobbying had been the core competencies of the
FOSS Nepal community and it might be a high time that we expand our
role in this new day.

For some of the team members who were confused about the FOSS Nepal
office, we DID NOT had any official (i mean physical) office till the
time being, but we were working out for a small place for the same, as
was reflected in our previous emails. But again what should be the
office for, if the members are not going to use it or get benefited
from. Also, we should be able to develop working strategy so as to
sustain those office use. Recently, we have found a location in
Putalisadak, in front of Shankar Dev College for setting up a physical
office space room. We have a plan to setup this for the initial phase,
but lets see how does it turn out and how much the community members
are able to use it and benefit others. Hence, we will require our
community members to come up with the proposals to make best use of
this space and opportunity to meet each other face to face.

For one of the activity that is in the pending list is the FOSS
training, which might be possible in March, if we all plan and execute
accordingly. Sagar, may be you can be best person to support this
initiative. We will require other team members support this as well in
this initiatives.

Looking forward to have a good breakfast after the tea (little cold).

Happy FOSSing.
