Hello Hridaya,
It is a pleasure to hear such a research going on at St.
Xavier's College. I hope you'll share the findings/results with us. FOSS
Nepal is currently running a "FOSS Migration and Training Programme" at
Ministry of Science and Technology. The project is aimed at migrating
the software and skills from proprietary daily-use desktop applications
to their open source alternatives. Though it is not directly related to
e-governance initiatives, but still it will have an impact on the
aftermath of e-governance implementation. Moreover, in a scenario, where
HLCIT is preparing a FOSS-friendly Government Enterprise Architecture
(GEA), migration (to FOSS) can and will be an important component.

Let me know if you have any specific queries, and please keep me updated
of the research. Thank you very much.
