It will certainly be useful to have a similar central portal for Nepal. The
challenge lies more in motivating individual agencies (and citizens) to make
their data available via the portal rather than developing the portal
itself.

National Information Technology Center, within the Ministry of Science and
Technology, has a good opportunity to take a coordinating role on this. They
might already be doing some thing alone this direction, but they need to
intensify it, I guess! Hope there are people in this list from that
organization.
