I guess in my every replies I had written to use USB disk instead of CD/DVD.

Using gparted from a live boot would solve the problem. Or if you want
to do from terminal i will help you. Try from gparted first, and if it
doesnt help reply again. :D

FYI, gparted is in System --> Administration --> Gparted [or it may be
named "Partition Editor"]
