Get your facts right, the term hacker was given by John Nash which meant
solving math problems in a "beautiful" way. Later the term hack was
used as pranks
<http://hacks.mit.edu/misc/best_of.html>used in MIT (which meant going away
from the campus law). Later ESR and RMS came up with their definitions. I
don't see what's "original". It's their view of hackers and hacking.

So I guess you don't consider captain crunch or kevin mitnick a hacker ?
Both of them broke law and those terms and condition that you dearly love.

Reading many texts won't do you good if you don't understand what the
authors want to say. May be you're too confused and you should stop
polluting others with confusing information.
