Get your facts right, the term hacker was given by John Nash which meant solving math problems in a "beautiful" way. Later the term hack was used as pranks <http://hacks.mit.edu/misc/best_of.html>used in MIT (which meant going away from the campus law). Later ESR and RMS came up with their definitions. I don't see what's "original". It's their view of hackers and hacking. >--- >| Hackers could do illegal >| things >\-- > They don't. So I guess you don't consider captain crunch or kevin mitnick a hacker ? Both of them broke law and those terms and condition that you dearly love. Reading many texts won't do you good if you don't understand what the authors want to say. May be you're too confused and you should stop polluting others with confusing information. -- FOSS Nepal mailing list: [email protected] http://groups.google.com/group/foss-nepal To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] Mailing List Guidelines: http://wiki.fossnepal.org/index.php?title=Mailing_List_Guidelines Community website: http://www.fossnepal.org/
