I discovered that there is a bug in Suse Linux reg. wifi. The NetworkManager gets disabled quietly, whenever the laptop goes into hybernate mode. It is also possible that the wifi service provider configured on your laptop gets disabled. Thanks to Mr. Abhishek Singh who pointed to me these mysterious phenomena and also helped me recover my wifi service.
