After about 36 hours of continuous efforts, I have a good news: Translation Progress..
The android application now translates directly from *English to Nepali*. I have used microsoft's api for translating it from English to Hindi and thI en my own rule based translator to translate from Hindi to Nepali. Both the Android web service and the web-user-interface-to-translate are updated. The desktop version (code.google.com/p/nepaliwikipediatranslator) hasn't been released yet. (However if you compile from the svn, they will be available there) [ I need to create a setup file and then put it in the downloads section, and I haven't done that yet, because there are limited calls available at Microsoft translation apis(free calls)]. While Google has already changed the translation api from free to paid <http://code.google.com/apis/language/translate/overview.html>. I had some pretty interesting issues in Devanagari : which got solved at : http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9856607/how-do-i-write-a-regex-to-find-and-replace-in-c-sharp-unicode-localization At the end I could sleep at six in the morning with a relief :). But who's going to pay for it :P @Saroj: Did you have any luck converting the translation service to php? Once that is done we could host it in the linux boxes we discussed earlier in this thread.
