As the date for the SFD is coming up very soon, I was wondering if there is going to a common event from the FOSS Nepal community. As I remember such a program has not been done in the last 2 years. SFD event, that was previously organized, served the purpose of bringing the community together and sharing of knowledge. It is of utmost importance that such an event be organized. I understand that in the last two years the event has been de-centralized and colleges and universities are contributing with their own events. Such events by various colleges and Universities has gone a long way in propagating the message of FOSS and FOSS related activities and I would like to sincerely thank them for their invaluable contribution. But it still begs for the FOSS Nepal community to have a, may not be big, event that will help to convey the core philosophies of FOSS and in particular FOSS Nepal. I hope such an event will be organized this year. If I can be of any assistance in contributing to such an event I would be more than happy to help.
