Hello, Python can be used for almost all purpose programming language. It has been been widely used for these purposes.
* web * scripting for various operating systems (linux especially) * for creating desktop applications ( GUI is created with other gui builders like Glade, Qt GUI etc.) and python is used for programming all the logic behind which plays the major role of integrating the UI and Logics to the software saying simply putting things all together. * For mathematical and statistical model analysis, natural language processing etc. * For mobile application development I think this almost covers topic one is interested.
