Hi All, While we are waiting for our shiny new Raspberry Pi's to arrive we are trying to rev up our Linux skill... so that we can actually do cool stuff with the PI's when we they get here. Karkhana (http://karkhana.asia/) and the Pi Bakers Group (http://www.facebook.com/groups/piBakers/) is arranging an installfest. It's a part skill development, part community development exercise, as we are looking for both people who can serve as guides and people are looking to explore linux (I have been a windows only user most of my life and am in the latter group).
The event is completely free. We have a rough agenda and some projects that will help with skill development... but the guidelines are rough and we hope you will improvise, explore and learn with in that format. To make sure the event is beneficial to everyone involved we are going to maintain a small ratio between guides and explorers. So we need you to sign up http://goo.gl/ as either a guide or a learner. If you are learner, you will receive a email confirming you can attend after when we have found enough guides to work with you. So if you have a friend who is decent with linux... encourage them to sing up as a guide. If you are singing up as a guide, AWESOME! Earn some good karma.
