Hi, I was suffering from the similar issue when I updated from Ubuntu 13.10 to Ubuntu 14.04 and this <https://askubuntu.com/questions/622470/dns-probe-finished-bad-config-error-in-ubuntu-14-04> answer helped me. If your's the same problem, it will be resolved.
