*++Adding Aadesh dai and Samar dai in the loop( They are the ones who introduce to the FOSS world :) )*
Adding to Prabin Sir's Point. Wouldn't it help if we also initiate FOSS NEPAL REGIONAL AMBASSADORS and COLLEGE AMBASSADORS? Back in SFD 2015, there was a point during group discussion session which is "*Decentralizing FOSS activities in every possible corner of country to spread Open Philosophy*". I believe it is only possible if we recognize *contributors, communities and colleges *all over Nepal. Organization like Teach For Nepal has TFN College Ambassadors. Those Ambassadors act as a mediator between Colleges and TFN to organize events and promote campaigns. - Via these Ambassadors we can do back and forth communication among Communities and colleges. - College Ambassadors can share any updates from-to FOSS Nepal, help in providing resources from FOSS Nepal while their college Communities are organizing events - Regional Ambassadors can act as mediators between Open Source Communities of a particular region, College Ambassadors among that region and FOSS Nepal. - We can assign one member from each colleges for College Ambassadors - Regional Ambassadors can be chosen based upon particular regions. Just to make sure these ambassadors have proportionately handful of communities and College Communities to work with. - Let us also set a milestone of initiating small communities in new colleges and communities with proper co-ordination among College, Communities and their respective Ambassadors. This month some of us Volunteers listed FOSS communities of Nepal in this repo: FOSS-COMMUNITIES-OF-NEPAL <https://github.com/FOSSKavre/FOSS-COMMUNITIES-OF-NEPAL>. We were able to list 22 of them. WOW :) But sad part is that some communities exists only as Names. So we might at least be able revamping our existing communities. - I see this Concept of Ambassador as a way to gain core contributors in FOSS Nepal. And it will also help in building a organizational structure for Outreach Purpose. So why not give it a try? हामीले पनि नगरे कस्ले गर्ला हैन त ? :) PS: Prabin dai - Last September KUOSC le organize gareko SFD 2017 maa ma lagayat kehi Kavre ko Volunteers haru milera FOSS KAVRE suru gareu :).
