What I use between Windows and Unix/Linux/Solaris:

- WinSCP GUI, works much like gnome-commander
- The scp commandline tool from PuTTY
- scp and rsync in the MobaXterm cygwin environment for scripted backups etc.

All of these also quite usable to communicate with SSHDroid on Android devices.

PuTTY and WinSCP are conveniently available in PortableApps.

MobaXterm is probably not perfect and not the fastest, and 
its optional sqlite3 is outdated, but all in all it is a quite
convenient bundle.
