I spotted code that tries to get a sensible temp folder at the top of
tester.tcl, so perhaps it should immediately attempt to use it and
complain right then.
The tests on tag release now finish without halting, but not without
failures.
Can you run just the failing test files with the "-verbose" option and
send the output?
I will do that, but dinner calls, so it will be a few hours. From
squinting at tester.tcl, I've found out about the -verbose and -prot
options, and the ability to name individual test files. That will narrow
down the log considerably.
