As my old mentor was so fond of saying, "if it was hard to write, it should be hard to use!" ;) i agree completely that the feature should exist, but i also suspect that 10 minutes after it's committed this list will get a mail saying something like: "I just removed a whole directory by accident. Could we add a --force flag to the 'remove' command, such that a dir named alone on the command line will only be removed if --force is specified?
