Hi list,

Given the recent security discussion, I would like to inquire about the current
state of HTTPS support. I played with the SSL branch, which I read about a
couple weeks ago. My experiments with it were successful, and I am considering
switching my repositories to use the protocol. Unless there are compelling
reasons not to, could these additions be merged into trunk? Also, could SSL
support become the default in the makefile? I would love to start using fossil
for work, but I don't think I can convince my employer to use a system that
isn't secured from end to end, or one that requires changing makefiles on
experimental branches. I am happy to do some additional testing if that is
required, but please do let me know as soon as possible so I don't get stuck
with Subversion for the next four months!

Thanks,

George King
