I have been using fossil for several months and like it more and more all
the time. A simply hosted code repository, ticket tracker and wiki all in
one is surely what everyone needs?
Today I worked out how to use the
embedded documentation feature to publish
doxygen generated source
documentation. This is something I have definitely
needed for a long time,
but the project management tools I use ( Basecamp
and Assembla ) do not
offer.
So, now I am almost ready to use fossil for routine project
management ...
except I need a way to monitor events on all my projects in
real time.
I am considering writing an application to poll all the
timelines, scrape
the events and alert me when something new is posted by
any partner. It
seems like an interesting and worthwhile tool, but perhaps
I would be
reinventing the wheel? Has someone already done this, or is
there a fossil
feature I have overlooked that makes a multi-project timeline
monitor easy
or even redundant?
