I have "+" in my one of my passwords. When trying to sync, I got "Login error". 
To avoid this, I had to encode "+" with "%2B".
I went to read RFC 1738 (http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc1738.txt), and it seems 
that only ":", "@" and "/" must be encoded:

   The user name (and password), if present, are followed by a
   commercial at-sign "@". Within the user and password field, any ":",
   "@", or "/" must be encoded.

Can somebody confirm this?
