It worked well enough for smallish repos, but testing it on the netbsd's pcksrc repository (>2Gib) it was way too slow. I have since started implementing a tokenized search (storing only token deltas, e.g. which search terms where added and removed in each new version of a file), but only got as far as building the indexed tables, without any optimization such as caching and without actually testing it since I didn't yet implement the search function using the index, when I started finals and haven't had a chance to get back to it.
