Unfortunately, the Linux world is not one-size-fits-all when it comes to
binaries (sometimes not even static ones). What OS and kernel version are
your host running? What bit-size is it (32 or 64)? Have you got the right
binary for that bit size? What does the output of "ldd fossil" say?
