Hi,
I'm considering to add some files from my $HOME like .bashrc,
.mail_aliases, .. into fossil repository.
if I understand your question correctly I would rather propose to put all
the configuration files you want to track in a separate "project"
directory and generate a fossil repository for the content of that (new
directory). from there you can either "install" the current version
of the files into your HOME directory or simply put softlinks there.

I will keep most of these files identical per each machine. Few files
shall be specific per machine. How I can store version same filenames
per machines, please?
I'm considering to put most subdirectories and many files to GLOBPATTERN
to keep 'fossil extra' useful. Is that proper way how to keep output
from fossil extra "short"?
Thank you.
Best regards,
JIri
