I think that's Penlight --- try the lua-penlight package.
Yes, penlight. The Lua for Windows distro I used has that and a bunch of
other handy modules wrapped up in it. I'm not sure what modules are
included in the stock Ubuntu release.
The next module that will trip you is likely luajson, invoked by require
"json". Get that from https://github.com/harningt/luajson if not already
available.
I should make a list of all the modules I assumed were present, and
probably mention the bug I had to fix in the penlight function
pl.text.indent() that you will trip over next....
