Sometimes it's a matter of simply convincing enough people about why the
current mechanism is *wrong* (offering to  write the code also helps). I
personally don't see a problem with  how branches work in Fossil, and in
fact it is  what drew me to  using it (after having tried  git), but I'm
willing to be persuaded that it should be otherwise. :-)

Please keep  in mind that my  opinions are not likely  representative of
the community---I've only been using Fossil for a few months. :-)
