On a related note: i had intended to add an "ls -1" style output to /dir over the holidays (based on an ML suggestion back in November), but the hydraulic part of my computer chair is failing and the chair now sinks to the floor when i sit it for more than a few minutes, so i won't be doing any notable hacking until i get a replacement chair or can figure out how to fix this one.
