I have been using Fossil for a little over a month and I am really liking.
Two things confuse me a bit, and I am hoping the users here can give me some insight (or point me to the right place to rtfm, which is totally ok). 1. I am getting a lot of warnings about invalid UTF-8 characters in configuration files I am typing by hand. I see any strange characters in the files. Is there a way to find out which characters are offending Fossil? I know I can suppress these warnings, but, it seems strange to me that Fossil is seeing the characters in the first place. 2. Why doesn't Fossil like binary files? Just about every project I work on has a SQLite3 database, which is a binary file. I will gladly tell Fossil to suppress these warnings if I was sure Fossil was not going to do something bad to them at some point in the future.
