at

Is just that I wanted to avoid a chain of critics about that other. I
honestly believe is a good software, but where it mostly excels is at
confusing the user, even with the ABC. That's my only critic to it.
Fossil
is still years light away from confusing anyone that way, but it has
gained
a couple of pounds in the last years. I believe there is room for
improving
the way you can get references on how to use each command. I believe
there
is room for improvements in the online documentation too. I want this

you are sure right. personally, I'd like to see `fossil help' somewhere on
the level of `hg help'. the `mercurial' people really invested substantial
effort in getting the help system right in my view: one nice idea is that
`hg help' does not just list the commands but also gives at least a hint
at what each command does. moreover, `hg' provides metapages (listed by
`hg help', too) such as `hg help config'. I believe the `hg' help also is
quite comprehensive. with `fossil' there still seem to be some gaps here
and there and/or the structure is awkward (e.g. the `cherrypick' and
`backout' options are for some reason only mentioned in the explanation of
`merge' but are not listed together with the othr options -- no idea why).
but of course someone would have to be willing to invest his time for (and
be capable of) improving the help system instead of the functionality --
and the latter still should have priority in the end, probably ;-)
