Hello,

I propose adding a file format version V card to accommodate revision/changes
to the file format.
When designing a network protocol, the first nibble is usually the protocol
version, so change is planned from the beginning.

Without an established revision policy, future implementations must rely on
heuristics to determine context. For example, changing the hash algo at this
point would seem to break the file format.

I noticed git lacks version info in their artifact formats as well. Perhaps
I'm overlooking an obvious reason.

Steve
