Not to derail your comments, but...

Personally, I think  that this is a  flaw in web browsers  and that they
need to be  improved to allow you  to copy text from  anywhere within an
anchor  tag instead  of only  allowing you  to click  it (or  some other
link-type action). There  are many times when I would  like to highlight
text that is part of a hyperlink but have to finagle it in some fashion.
