I thought about branching when I checked in, but I decided to stick with
trunk because this can't affect any existing repositories. No one is
using "l" for a different purpose. Why the branch now? Because there
is more work to do before it meets my own needs? That would make sense.
Any thoughts or discussion, anyone?
