several days ago I wrote to the list asking for any localization effort. Robert encouraged me to start on this topic and thus I setup FOSSology to use gettext for translation into German (as an example). Since there are several files involved and I have not yet write-access to CVS, I am publishing a link to a screenshot showing the translated fossology startpage, the translation editor (poedit) and the patched php-code. I have trouble translating the "Title". Obviously it plays a special role for the plugin. The screenshot is available at http://www.tokonoma.de/fossology-German.png Please tell me about your opinion. Do you think adding i18n is worthwhile? Or is it bloat? adding more complexity!? Hello Stefan, This is very cool, but isn't the first step to move all the output text into localization file and change the code to use a reference to the text instead of the text itself? Maybe I just don't understand how this works. Could you explain your patched php code?
