I don't get your point here ? what do you mean exactly by
"hardware-assisted dropping of logged packets on interfaces"
For L2 ACLs, that'd be "mac access-list enable-deny-logging hw-drop"
not sure there's a L3 equiv. but the linecard console's messages point
at traffic hitting an access list, so check your config.
