For a fast mockup and relearning of pygtk, I'm impressed. Clever hack! An easy "double utility!" tweak would be "divide mode" - see scrawled-over jpeg attached. Interactive mode - have the top ask "4*3= ?" with a blank space to type the answer, kids can use the sliders to help them find the correct answer to give. Maybe save scores as a function of time (15 questions beat the clock) which would make an easy measure of progress and collaborative competition. I'll try it with small cousin this weekend - she can add and recently started grasping the "repeated addition" thing, but hasn't really understood multiplication as a separate idea as far as we can tell. If she comes up with feature ideas, we'll see how fast I can remember pygtk. --Mel Jason Rock wrote: > Here is an alpha version of the idea as well as a mock up for anyone > interested.
