thank you very much. I'll contact you when I do the board and the software for it (i think in 2 weeks). greets, ernst

No… It's a very simple task for the fox-board to read the sensors from the 1-wire bus. Owfs is consume some memory, but it's not taking much cpu-time at all. The shell-utilities owdir and owread could be useful for you. # run-owfs # owdir –s 3002 / # owread –s 3002 /10.67C6697351FF/temperature You can always use my application called temploggerd which use rrdtool to create graphs of the temperatures. Rrdtool could take some cpu-time though, but I'm sure it's worth it if you want to create nice graphs of you temperature sensors. Make sure that /etc/resolv.conf is updated with a proper nameserver, and that ntpclient has set the clock on your board before starting temploggerd. I only need to measure temperature every 10 minutes. thank you, greets ernst 2006/12/4, smoot_unit < [EMAIL PROTECTED]>: --- In [email protected] <foxboard%40yahoogroups.com>, "d1mag1" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > --- In [email protected] <foxboard%40yahoogroups.com>, john@ wrote: > > > > owfs has been ported to fox ? > > > > I built owfs long time ago, and the latest owfs-cvs version is working > perfect on the fox-board. > > Download it from http://home.mag.cx/fox/source/ > > /Christian > Does anyone know where to buy a USB-adapter DS9490 in Europe. All I've seen is the www.maxim-ic.com which is in the USA, they expect indusrial quantities and the post/handling costs more than the interface!!! chris -- MfG Ernst Mayerhofer
