Hi Sergio,
The bulletin board package I prefer is phpBB. It's open source,
free, very powerful and it is easy to install and manage (it can work
with MySQL, MS-SQL, PostgreSQL or Access/ODBC database servers).
I use it on linux servers with apache, php and mysql.(http://www.phpbb.com)
