Hello, I am writing my own application to capture frames from a webcam and output a jpeg file for each frame. The app will do more than this, but this is where I am stuck.
Can someone recommend a well supported, decent resolution webcam and driver I can use ? I am new to this, and have been trying to get my Logitech Orbit running on my fox board. I've been playing with the pwc driver and can capture yuv420p frames output from my webcam, but don't know how to convert the frames to jpeg (I've googled, but still don't understand how to do the conversion). I also understand that the pwc driver has resolution limitations so perhaps this is the wrong webcam/driver combination to use. Can someone recommend a readily available webcam, with decent resolution and drivers, suitable for custom application development? Thanks for any help. -Randy
