Yes - build your own low-dropout voltage-regulator. I would suggest something based around this: http://www.national.com/pf/LP/LP38692-ADJ.html which will give you 5.0 volts output with an input voltage as low as 6 volts (so letting you run your 7.2V battery well into the 'must recharge' zone!). ++Tanuki http://canismajor.demon.co.uk/ -- running on a Foxboard.
