The program is written using Visual C++ 6.0 and MFC.  I don't really want 
to distribute source code. I have spent a lot of time making this as 
reliable as possible and feel it is pretty stable now.

As is, it will create Access compatible files on the local disk, you could 
try that option right off.  We found Access was causing resource leaks and 
would force us to reboot the machine occasionally.  This along with file 
locking issues convinced us to dump the Access approach.

I communicate to SQL Server now using DBLIB as it didn't require any ODBC 
configuration.  Way back I had trouble keeping other applications from 
stepping on the ODBC drivers and breaking the database connection.

I think the ODBC code is still lurking in the source if that could be of 
use to someone.

Try it out and if you need something added let me know.
