It's by no means an automatic solution, but I've used
snapshot to get the graphic image, Paint or a similar
bitmap editor to blank out the areas I want to overlay
with values, and d_edit -l to generate a list of
values and their screen positions to add to the
graphic.  Since I'm only interested in the type real
values that my Pi (or similar) graphics, I just parse
screen position and C:B.P for lines with "Contents< 
Real" from the d_edit listing.
