Alex,
The APACS System is Siemens (Moore Products) product to compete in the
hybrid control systems market. It is a cheap and dependable DCS/PLC System.
Having much experience in the Moore Products arena (DCS and 352's) I can
answer your question about why you are getting support calls. Mpco, in our
experiences, are notorious for support services or lack of such. In our
last experience with an APACS System the documentation was somewhat hard to
follow and configuration was not as intuitive as other systems we have
worked in. But once you understand their terminology and their methods the
APACS System contained numerous tools that fostered extremely flexible
integration. We did have some luck with the folks in the Mpco's Houston
Office over on Kirby. Praveen was very helpful if you can catch him.
Thanks,
Daryl Reynolds

Thanks. I knew it sounded familiar. Of course, now I have to figure out why
they called us for support. :-)

Anyone familiar with APACS? (I'm not even sure that I have the
acronym
correct.)
I think that it might have something to do with remote access to the
I/A
Series System, but I'm not sure.
