This may be a work around for getting the actual initialization parameter of blocks. Using the "getpars" tool, these parameters can be picked up. As for David's needs, I wrote this script and just briefly tested it. It doesn't get the checkpoint values, it grabs what is set at the present time from the work file. If you were to run the script and then do a checkpoint, obviously the results of the script and the checkpoint parameters would agree. # # cd /opt/fox/bin/tools getpars -n -mCMPNM:%15s -mCP:%7s -mTYPE:7s -mINITMA:%ld -mMA:%ld -mDESCRP:%32s > /tmp/<filename> # # Using the different options, you can limit the scan to a desired or set of desired CPs. Depending on how often this would run, a "diff" between the previous file and latest file may be helpful. I hope this will help you. Maybe it will get you in the ball park anyway.
