Hi Magdi,
I use a script to extract three hourly averages from our "legacy"
(Informix database) historian reduction groups.
I write the values to shared memory variables on an AW51 so they can be
displayed on a regular Foxview screen.
The only tricky part is getting the appropriate times for isql to use. I
use a small c program to convert a date to unix time, and then I add in the
additional seconds for the time since midnight. The program really isn't
necessary because it is relatively simple to calculate the time, but I had
written the date2unix program for another project so I re-used it.
There are probably better & easier ways to extract the values and
calculate the times, but my method works & it was fun to develop.
I can send you a copy of the script if you would like to see it, but you
would have to determine the field names, table names and pt_id_key of your
historian points and edit the script for it to work.
