Jenny, People are funny. Some folks, I grew up with, have never even been out of their home towns..........period. Just not comfortable traveling, I guess. As for me, I have a bad case of " wander lust". It would make me so happy if I could travel to all the face and body painting events around the world and take pictures and write about them for the magazine..Most of the WBP Festival pictures my husband and I took, that will be featured in the October issue of the FPBA Magazine That is what my "intentions" are, so we'll see how long it takes to accomplish that goal. It will take alot of subscribers and advertisers to help make that happen ;o) I really do love providing a platform for the artists to "see and learn" and "be seen and share", through the FPBA Magazine and the Convention.
I was so thrilled to go to Seeboden after wanting to go for so many years. It was so worth it! Really an exhilarating and amazing event! I wish I could go to Conventions across the pond, that are coming up and the one in Australia too! There are so many to chose from, it is getting increasingly difficult to make a choice, I know. Just support where you can and what fits into your budget. Part of the good news this year in Orlando, is there is a free 5 minute shuttle to the hotel, so you really don't need a car. So, that is a bit of savings. The hotel is smaller and cozy which I prefer, ideally, to keep us all together in fellowship and sharing. The Orlando (MCO) is an International airport, so usually you can find pretty decent flights from about anywhere in the world. Alot of painters are on the East coast, so, it's still within driving distance for many. I just heard from several groups of 6 that are attending together from various states and taking advantage of the early bird discount as well as the larger group discount. The other part of the good news of a Convention in Orlando is the weather is AWESOME and the crowds are SMALL at the attractions. I really hope to see many of you back again, for those of you know her, my mom plans to be there this year to help too! ;o) FPBA Convention EARLY BIRD discount ENDS August 31st!
