" As for the Association, like I told you many times people don't understand it's not an open topic - it's your baby, your convention your association. Input is fine but you don't have to bow to pressure." Loretta
Actually it is an open topic, but yes, I do not have to "bow". But, I do much of the time. I am trying to serve a purpose here, in uniting us all under one "roof". There may be some "fakes" in the roster, and alot of wanna- be's" but we all had to start somewhere in this profession. Does paying a fee or getting paid a fee make them a professional? Anyone, paint or not, can still pay a fee to belong here. Does the ability to blend or paint a teardrop perfectly make up the standard for membership?. I am open to discussion.really I am. At times,I considering the possibility of charging for the profile page option (since this software seems to require assistance) and offering that as a "Preferred " member.I am always more about INCLUSIVE rather than EXCLUSIVE. That's just me, tho.;o) I think maybe just having a page on a Code (Standard) of Operations, that a member could sign stating that you use: Only use FDA compliant products Never use Acrylics Good Sanitation Practices (can't say one sponge per kid because as soon as you re dip into paint, you have contaminated the paint , technically) Insurance (GOOD---but not REALLY a MUST HAVE. It's more for self- protection and certain job requirements) What else does a client need to know? (I am asking here ;o) Maybe we can all put something together that I can post on the FPBAA site. It may exist elsewhere already, if so, throw it out here to test the waters. Everyone, give me your ideas for a Code (Standard) of Operation. Cindy, seems like you wrote a good one.
