OK, I just got a call from the person who was at the jam collecting names
from face painters to use in restaurants, etc.

I just thought I'd give you the "scoop" that he didn't give at the jam.

He "pays" his balloon people $15 an hour ONLY ONLY ONLY if they don't make
$15 an hour in tips. So, let's say, they make $16 an hour in tips.....they
get NOTHING from his company!!!!!! The original $15 an hour that he told us
about is crap unless they don't make ANY tips at all. And if they make over
$15 an hour in tips, from what I understand, they don't even get to keep ALL
their tips!

I told him to take my number off his list. I was not planning on working
with his company at all and I didn't appreciate his rudeness at the
convention, telling me that face painters could NOT do a face in less than
2-3 minutes, ....he told me that twice (which I proved him wrong, and he
admitted that he was surprised.) I told him I was not the only one that
could do fast faces.

I also told him that he was VERY misleading, even when Cynthia approached
him and asked him point blank, how much he paid his balloonists, etc. He
very clearly told her that his company pays them at least $15 per hour. He
JUST told me that amount might be NOTHING if the balloonist makes their $15
per hour in tips.

Tips, in my opinion, are to be KEPT by the artist. That's what a tip
IS....NOT regular pay.

Just wanted to inform you, as apparently this guy is making phone calls this
morning with a "plan" for the future to lure you into restaurants to do
birthday parties, etc. by collecting kids' names and addresses for birthday
parties, to offer a free party per month. (Wonder if he expects you to do
the birthday party for free, too.)

I'll bet he, too, wouldn't NEARLY pay you your regular pay for a birthday
party BECAUSE it was in the restaurant where you agreed to a lower amount of
pay. I'm not doing birthday parties for my restaurant pay....No way, No
how, NADA. And I would encourage the rest of you not to do the same.

In my book, they call this practice fraud. Come in and tell you one thing,
then when you get the job, it's another. Just be careful about booking with
him. For you might be surprised!!!!
