I've been taking a 50% deposit. Here's the blurb in my contract about cancellations: CANCELLATION POLICY: Any cancellation less than one week ahead of the contracted performance date will result in a payment of 50% of the total fee. The total performance fee will be paid if canceled within twenty-four hours of the event. All cancellations and rescheduling by direct personal contact with Carol Turman in person, by phone, or e-mail as soon as possible. That way, if they do cancel, I have at least something.
