The following is a statement from Gitterle sent to KSAT 12 News and added at 8:12pm: "...When I sent out an email to close friends and family a couple of days ago, I had no idea it would be edited, twisted and sent around the world. Unfortunately, it has. I intended only to help my close friends and family understand the seriousness of this epidemic. I was not making an official public health statement..." IMHO - The message (again) is to use your head and apply common sense. I'll not be going to any mariachi competitions anytime soon, nor will I attend the "World's Biggest Cinco de Mayo Celebration". I'll wait till next year.
