Hi,
I have only done window painting for fun. I used colouring books and a photocopy machine and taped it to the inside of the window and "traced" the drawing with the paint. I wanted to be able to wash it off, so I used water colours. Put a few drops of liquid dish soap in the paints so that the paint will stick to the glass. When the "season" is over just hose down the window. One of the harder things to do is to photographe your work. You either get reflections or the stuff on the insdie of the building. Best Wishes! I might have my first job. They have 5 windows and the lady that did them before only charged them $70!!! First, I'm not sure I believe this, secondly, I might want to do it just to get the job to begin with, hoping there will be more to follow, for a lot more money....and it's for the restaurant that I already face paint in once a week.....soooo, it behooves me to do a good job so people will come into the restaurant to get their faces painted (and I can keep that job.) I think I'm going to tell them $100. Most of it is lettering. There, I think, will be only one window with other than lettering and they want an NFL football helmet, which shouldn't be THAT bad. (Or at least I wouldn't think....lol. Anyway, I think I'll be using acrylic paints. (Got a tip from Roberta Mandella when she did it.) Painting from the inside, not the outside. Other than that, any tips for doing faster lettering, etc. (backwards, so it will show up correctly outside)? Thanks!
