I can't echo enough the importance of keeping your kits clean. Would you eat in a dirty restaurant? Would you get your nails or hair done at a salon that had hair on the floor and hadn't been swept for days?
It's happens rarely (my paints are in storage tubs with 8" high walls), but I have stopped my lines when an exuberant child has stuck their finger in my paints. I make a big deal out of cleaning the cake (s) and informing parents that only the artists are to touch the materials on the table for health and safety reasons. Parents will nod and congratulate us on our dedication to proper hygiene. Kat B.
